Hey everyone! I'm Oso, an outgoing, bright, friendly, active, spirited 19-pound grizzly grey Miniature Schnauzer mix gal with enchanting pale amber eyes who was born about March 2021. I'm great with everyone -- including other dogs and kids. I'm very home- and family-oriented, but I still make a pretty good watchdog!. My breed was created to be all-around farm dogs and ratters, so I'm tough, muscular, and fearless without being aggressive. I'm small enough to adapt to apartment life but tireless enough to patrol acres of farmland. I'm an alert, sturdy little lass who really enjoys vigorous play. I can hold my own retrieving tennis balls at the dog park, if that's your pleasure. Plus I'm very trainable. With my portable size and sporty good looks, I'm an ideal family dog. So I'm sure you're wondering why I need a new home. I was found by a Good Samaritan as a stray with a registered microchip, but when my family was called, they asked why because they purposely had left me behind when they moved out of their house. Can you believe that??? Thank heavens they didn't surrender me to a kill-shelter, but it hurt my feelings since I thought I was a member of their family. Fortunately, my rescuers turned to Miss Donna to find me a wonderful new family, which I'm confident she will do. Unfortunately, my deadbeat family didn't have me on heartworm preventative, so I tested positive for heartworms. No worries! I'm already undergoing treatment, and the rescue group will pay to complete my treatment. Since we Minis are generally healthy, long-lived, stocky, robust little dogs who are great with everyone, I'm sure that I'll have a new family in no time. Don't waste any time arranging to meet me today as I won't be available for long! Oso is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250 (includes heartworm treatment) for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
