About Pickles

To help us make a great fit for you, and any of our dogs as well, please include information about yourself(Home, family, yard/fence, work hours, other pets...) and/or use our application at sparrowdogs.com. Those emails will get the quickest response, we do the best we can, but if we have to follow up with an email asking you about yourself and waiting for a response, well, we have already moved on to the next email that has provided the details. We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) He's spunky, he's sweet, he's a live wire...he is Pickles!! Just like the very best pickle, he is a little sweet and just a tad tart. He is working on the tart part tho, lol. You have to give the little guy some slack, he has been thru the entire losing his home(we don't know who they were) ending up into the shelter situation, and now settling into a foster home. We have to say, for a spunky little breed, he is handling everything like a champ. Pickles came to rescue due to his anxiety at a large shelter, just like thousands of dogs before him, he just does better in a home situation than a loud and bustling shelter. Since arriving he has settled in, has really fallen in love with Gigi, an 11 year old Yorkie. She is part mom, part best pal. They are adorable snuggled up together right now on a bed by the front window, he is snoring softly in her ear. (yes, Gigi is looking for a loving home, too!) Pickles is about 2 years old. He is around 9 pounds right now, he could use a little meat on his bones. He is a bit high strung, given his breed(s) and circumstances, who can blame him?? But, he is a sweet boy and is being very patient and taking in his surroundings. He will need a family that understands he will need some time to acclimate, it won't be love at first sight, but when he finally trusts you completely, he will be the little love of your life!!! We think he will be fine with older kids, little ones may make him too nervous. He will do well in a house where he will not be alone for long hours, other dogs are a huge plus.
