About Baxter

Baxter is a 4 year old pure breed Australian Shepherd who is incredibly affectionate and loyal to the people (and animals) that he knows well. He responds well to training , and is eager to please whether for treats, games or affection. He loves fetch, and any other games that challenge him mentally or physically. He's also a great hiker on leash, He is playful and patient with our two year old son, and recent baby girl. He is also a very good snuggler! He has anxiety, so can be reactive to dogs and people he doesn't know as a result. Dedicated time to training seems like it would work for him to overcome this. He is up to date on all his vaccines, vet visits, and is neutered. He goes to daycare on occasion and does well. He's not a great candidate for boarding however, as he is not crate trained. He's never had an issue being free in the house unattended. We would love to see him with people that can dedicate more time to him, and meet his energy needs. As we both work outside the home despite previously being remote workers, and adding young kiddos, we just don't have the time he deserves.
