About Copper

Copper is 25lbs, in-tact, and appears to be full-bred beagle, and he is true to his breed! Incredibly friendly, eager to please, food motivated, curious, and has a nose like no other. While calm, snuggly, and reserved most of the time,Copper loves to kick up his heels and play with our other dog who is a female heeler/pointer. He also very much enjoys walks and does well on a leash! While potty-trained for the most part, Copper will potty inside if ignored when he signals that he needs to go out by standing at the door. We picked up Copper from a sweet couple who saved him from euthanasia and was giving him away. We agreed that if we don't keep him, we will at least make sure to get him the vet help he needed and make sure he goes to a wonderful and loving home. Copper has been de-wormed, has had necessary attention to a yeast infection he had in both ears, and is on a monthly heartworm/worm preventative. Something appears to have chopped off the white tip of Coppers tail, and he has a strangulation wound on his back right pinky toe. It healed fine with no issues, just a little crooked. Copper seems to do best around women and children. A man could have abused him. He is very curious of men but runs and panics when approached by one. Copper is also very jumpy and skittish around loud noises, and sticks, shovels, rakes, etc. Copper needs an environment with a stay at home mom or someone who can take him with them. He loves to ride in the car. He needs a large, securely fenced in back yard. If there are other dogs in the home, they need to be friendly. If there are children in the home, hopefully they are very friendly as well as Copper is sometimes too tolerant. ��%BD%9D%A4��%BD��%BD%8F We are in no hurry, just waiting for someone who will love this sweet dog as much as we do and provide a sweet, fenced in home for him.
