X-URGENT - CHOW SAVVY, HOME OR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED - 6 YR YOUNG, HANDSOME CHOW/SHEP MIX 'NORMAN' ADOPTED AND RETURNED ON 10/6/23. We are in urgent need of finding a patient and loving home, or a foster (foster-to-adopt) and rescue for this adorable, 6 year young, neutered chow/shep mix named Norman who has now been put on 'yellow alert' as he is not doing well in the shelter environment. Thus, he is now considered X Urgent and at risk of euthanasia in the very near future. Norman was previously adopted, then owner surrendered on 10/5/23 due to 'dog not getting along with this little dog'. Thus, this pup would do best as an only dog in the home. He is currently housed alone in the kennel. He currently has no medical issues. Per the shelter notes: 'Norman is very easy to leash and very mellow in his kennel. He didn't like being walked by the other dogs. I brought him to the yard. He engaged with me somewhat but was really very curious about what was going on around him. After checking out, everything he came and sat aside me very gently and accepted. Hugs and loves. Norman started to show signs of stress so I took him to the play yard so he could run around He was much more comfortable in the bigger yard, and just enjoyed exploring the entire yard. Takes treats gently not at all interested in balls, or toys. A very sweet boy altogether. Norman should not go to a home with cats.'
