About Honcho

Honcho Honcho is a Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is about three years old. He started his shelter experience at the Kokomo Humane Society about 1 year ago. He came to our shelter in September of last year as part of a dog exchange with Kokomo. Why he was not adopted in Kokomo and is still with us is a mystery. He should weigh in around 35 pounds but currently need more exercise. He has been working with one of our dog experienced volunteers on his behavior and leash work and is doing better since he arrived. He doesn't seem to do too badly around other dogs but we always recommend a meet and greet if there are other dogs in the home. He is not good with cats. He has not done well around small children so we would recommend no children under the age of 14 years. We have selected Honcho to be our St. Patrick's Day special. He is already sponsored so his adoption fee is only $55. In addition, he will come with a brand new collar and leash in green(the color can be changed if desired), a small bag of dog food, a package of dog treats, a brush, and a dog toy of his choosing. We welcome anyone looking for a new family member to come and meet Honcho. If the luck of the Irish is with you, he will be a good match.
