About Emily

**SPAYED (PHOTOS 5/22/2023) (ADOPTED 7/27/2023)** ... Emily is a beautiful 4-year old female Coonhound mix who was brought to the HSOV on May 22, 2023 for a very sad reason since her beloved mistress had passed away and Emily lost not only her 'person' but also her home. Emily has a black/tan/white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable black-and-white face with tan eyebrows, a black button nose on her white muzzle, and large black velvet ears which frame her face �%9D%A4 A family member reported that Emily is good with children and that she is also good with other animals (but didn't specify if that included both cats and dogs). Emily is housebroken and currently weighs 54.5 lbs. These photos of Emily were taken at closing time on May 22nd (the day she arrived), and it broke our hearts to see the sadness in her eyes and in her body posture �٪%81 Emily was understandably very frightened and nervous when she found herself in a small kennel after she had always enjoyed a wonderful home with a family who loved her. Our HSOV kennel techs and shelter staff are doing their best to help Emily feel comfortable and to realize that she is among compassionate folks who love her unconditionally. We look forward to taking more flattering and happier photos of this beautiful girl when she is ready to venture outdoors on a sunny day. UPDATE: Emily was spayed on June 13, 2023 and was also given rabies vaccine.
