URGENT - LOVING, IDEALLY CHOW SAVVY, HOME OR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED - 5 YR YOUNG, SHY FEMALE CHOW MIX 'SUZIE' FOUND DUMPED ON THE STREET AND HAD TO BE CAUGHT WITH CATCH POLE WHICH CUT HER MOUTH. We are in urgent need of finding a patient and loving home, or a foster (foster-to-adopt) and rescue for this adorable shy little girl who the shelter has fondly named Suzie. She was found as a stray and had to be caught using a catch pole that cut her mouth and understandably came in scared with a bleeding mouth. She has since warmed up to people but is still shy. Although she is only 43 lbs, and perfectly sized, the shelter has listed her as a chow akita mix despite being much smaller than the average female chow. She has been recently spayed and made adoptable. Suzie is estimated to be 5 years young and had a kennelmate at the shelter. The shelter says, 'Based on dog's timidness/fearfulness, we strongly recommend the following: Children in the home be ages 12+. All members of the family go very slow with dog and give her time to warm up to them. Dog be provided with socialization.'
