LOVING, IDEALLY CHOW SAVVY, HOME OR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED - 3 YR YOUNG, HANDSOME, SMALL CHOW / SHIBA LOOKING BOY 'BARTON' FOUND DUMPED ON THE STREET AND HAD TO BE TRAPPED, NO ONE EVER CAME FOR HIM. WHO CAN HELP? We are in urgent need of finding a patient and loving home, or a foster (foster-to-adopt) and rescue for this adorable young man who the shelter has fondly named Barton. He was found as a stray and had to be trapped, and thus understandably came in scared. He has since warmed up to people but is still shy. Although he is only 42 lbs, and thus perfectly sized, the shelter has listed him as a chow akita mix despite being much smaller than the average male chow. We believe he is a chow/ shiba mix. He has been recently neutered and made adoptable, Barton is estimated to be only 3 years old and has a beautiful deep red coat that could use some grooming. Some of his shelter notes state, 'Easy to return to kennel, Calm, Easy/Loose Leash, Takes treats nicely, Ignored dogs when walking past kennels'.
