About Norman - Overlooked

NORMAN #A2106299 Petite boy (44 lbs, 6 yrs old), who has been in the shelter since Oct 2023. He is neutered, and is ready to join his loving forever family! NORMAN is a sweet, gentle boy who loves attention from people. He's been described as 'waggy and happy.' He likes giving and accepting affection. He likes treats more than toys. He will probably be best as your only furchild, as he has some reports of reactivity to cats, and barrier reactivity to dogs. Please come and meet cutie-pie NORMAN at the East Valley animal shelter in Van Nuys California. 'Easy to leash from the hallway crate. Ive interacted with Norman in the past and he is a sweet boy. Mild tug through the backlot. We walked around the lot and he was intent on finding one of the back lot cats. When he spotted one he absolutely tried to get it- he has a high prey drive. Not hard to control or redirect away from it but it should be noted he should not go to a cat household. He is very people oriented and a lovely walker otherwise. We jogged back and forth in the backlot to burn some energy before I returned him to his cleaned crate. Easy return! He's super sweet gentle dog (as long as you're not a feline.)' 'Good behavior. Norman knows me and was waggy and happy when I walked by his hallway crate. Easy to leash. Short walk to door, did not lunge or bark at dogs in hallway. Happy in large yard, romped around but also barrier reactive to dog in next yard. Sat next to me and takes treats softly.
