Winston is a beautiful, shy boy who came to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue in fall 2022. He was a stray in Miami and thankfully was trapped before coming to the rescue. He was pretty shut down, as he had no human interaction at all. It has taken her a while to come out of his shell and trust people, which is understandable. Through a lot of work with our wonderful volunteers, Winston is now ready to find her forever home. Winston's perfect family would be a household on the quieter side with humans who will allow him time to gain their trust and understands that it may take a bit for him to show his true personality. Winston gets along well with other dogs, and a dog friend may help her adjust quicker to her new environment. Winston is a smaller shepherd mix (maybe some Plott hound), around 2 1/2 years old and weighs about 35-40 pounds. Winston's sibling with a very similar personality was adopted a bit ago and has completely blossomed in her forever home and we are now hoping for the same for this sweet boy. Winston's adoption fee is $250. His fee covers up-to-date vaccines, vet exam, neuter, microchip, deworming, heartworm test (negative) and lots of TLC provided at GOFAR. If you are interested in adopting Winston, please go to www.gofar.dog and complete an adoption contract.
