Margot is a pure bred miniature australian sheperd (no papers) weighing 28 pounds. We adopted her almost 2 years ago. She was raised in a small apartment and her original owner wanted more space for her. Margot has gone through an intense training program and knows ALL of her commands. She was trained on an e-collar system. We have lots of pets. Margot is obsessed with herding them and keeping them out of the house. She is a perfect dog as long as the house is quiet and there is not a lot of company. The only time she has shown aggression is when food/treats are involved. She also does not like her backside to be touched so we usually have the vet use a muzzle when we take her in for vet appointments. She likes to nip more than bite. She is a nervous nellie when lots of people are around and we end up boarding her if we have a lot of company. She definitely LOVES females. She will bark at males whenever they enter a room. She is not aggressive just vocal. She is the BEST companion and is so sweet. Margot needs either a very quiet home or a home where the owner is very comfortable being the alpha. Margot is so smart. My husband and I tend to be 'soft' on dog discipline so Margot acts in charge most of the time. She is crate trained.
