An adorable pup named Max was surrendered to our shelter (West Chester SPCA) a couple months ago because the family didn't have time to take care of him. He has lived with other dogs before and gotten along well. Max did get adopted from us to a woman who was very eager to have him. She was counseled that he can have some handling sensitivities and you do need to go slow with him and pay attention to his body language. She did have an handling error incident with him where it seemed to be startled response and he bit her finger. Max has been returned to us, and we want to set him up for success with the right foster/family who can love him and maybe be a little more thoughtful when it comes to handling. Max is only a year old and he is 22 lbs. He loves to play and has a great personality. He just needs to find the right home!! If you can help, please let me know. He is maybe a beagle mix.
