About Bea

Adoption Fee: $200
Rat Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Looking for a companion for walking, hiking, camping, RVing, hunting, farming, or anything outdoors? This is your dog! Bea is a beautiful 3- to 5-year-old with many of the characteristics typical of a Decker rat terrier, not least of which is her size--30 lbs. Before coming to New Rescue, Bea showed up at a Missouri country home, where she quickly befriended the resident Lab puppy and demonstrated what a nature girl she is. She enjoyed roaming the five wooded acres and tracking and chasing critters! Now in her foster home, Bea has had a chance to show off more of her awesome qualities. She is sweet, gentle, polite, quiet, and smart. She already understands some commands and will easily learn more! She walks nicely on a leash and looks forward to daily walks. She's also house-trained and lets you know when she needs to go out to potty. For those of you who work from home, Bea is the perfect coworker, quietly napping on her dog bed in the office during the workday. She's working on how to meet and greet other dogs with trips to the local dog park. Bea is looking for a family that loves the outdoors as much as she does. A wide-open country space to explore or a large fenced property would be great. Otherwise regular, substantial (she can go for hours) leashed walks are a must. A home where Bea can relax and be her happy, playful self would bring out the best in this nature gal.
