About Bobby

Sweet Bobby is a 9 1/2 pound stocky 11 year old chihuahua who had his life turned upsidedown when his owner died and relatives abandoned him on the doorstep of a high kill shelter in a small crate during the nighttime hours. Bobby acts as if he was an only pet who was adored by his owner. Currently, Bobby is uncomfortable being outdoors, will stand motionless like a statue until you pick him up, but loves being inside the house and prefers to be sitting on your lap. He is pretty low energy and will sit in your lap as long as you're sitting down. Bobby 'tolerates' his 5 pound foster sister, but if she tries to share your lap, Bobby will give her 'the look' and then move aside. He's not aggressive or snappy, but obviously not thrilled having to share. It doesn't appear Bobby was ever leash trained. He is perfectly content being carried place to place and riding in a shopping cart at the store. Bobby is the perfect co-pilot in the car, lays down on the passenger seat and doesn't move unless his foster sister trys to share the seat and cuddle...then he moves to the floorboard. Bobby is crate trained and potty pad trained. He does not like being left alone in his crate in a room where he cannot see his people. He will bark to remind you that he is in there. Move his crate into the room where you're at and he is perfectly content.
