About Lola

Lola is a brilliant dog with a goofy and loving personality. She's 51% belgian malinois, 16% german shepherd, and a lot of other things. She loves snuggling, running, chewing bones, and swimming. Playing fetch with her frisbees is her ultimate favorite. She is a loyal companion who will cling to the side of her handler with fierce devotion. She is submissive with nearly all dogs and enjoys playing with them. She is timid and nervous in new situations. She does not enjoy being approached or invaded by strangers, and will have it known, but does well walking on leash in cities. She's very alert. She is house trained, crate trained, and has nearly 100% recall. She learns new tricks with ease. She is high energy. Would do best in a household with open land for running, and not a lot of foot traffic in the house so she can have her space. Or to someone looking for a protection animal, or loves dog training. Hoping for a malinois fanatic, as the breed has very specific needs for training and structure. Also she's compact! not the typical malinois size: she's only 40 pounds of little goofy rager. Adoption fee waived for the right fit (we'd rather the money go towards her care). May do best in a home with multiple other dogs to show her the status quo. Definitely no small children.
