About Moxie

Look out world! Moxie is a spayed female shepherd mix that is around 10-11 months old. She is 45 pounds. We saved her from a high kill shelter euthanasia list on her last day back in November. She had previously been picked up as a stray. This girl can MOVE! She's a high energy girl that is up for pretty much anything. Want to do agility? Running? Cycling? Hiking? Moxie's your girl and is up for all these adventures. She is extremely smart and is happiest when she's doing some sort of 'work' with you, no matter what it is, even if it's just fetch in the backyard. She is highly trainable, makes excellent eye contact and thrives with positive reinforcement as she very much wants to please her humans. She also loves a good snuggle and being close to you. As active as she is, she loves even harder. Moxie is crate and house-trained in her foster home. She quietly sleeps through the night and understands routine very well. She integrates well with some dogs, but doesn't always understand when other dogs aren't pleased when her antics, so she needs leadership to help her slowly and properly integrate socially. We require a tall fenced yard or acreage for Moxie. Her ideal home is either as an only dog with an active owner or with another similarly sized, active dog to play with.
