Named so for a reason. I really do not have a lot of good tings to say for this dude yet. He was found astray and was untouchable at the pound. Here in rescue, we have made progress in his rehab albeit slow. In nearly 20 years of rehabilitation, he is our worse case by far. He viciously bites and if he was any larger, would cause significant injury. We are figuring fear aggression with a combination of conditioning. We think he was exposed to some violance and biting or charging and biting caused people to back off, therefore conditioning him to that behavior to stay safe. We couldn't approach him at all without being attacked and he has bitten with enough force to bite through bite gloves and cause injury. We are going to continue working with him and have seen progress but he may never be considered safe for the public. We have earned his trust and he has accepted out boundaries and thrived with a routine. He may be a dog that just does best with a one or two owner home that is quieter and doesn't have a lot of guests. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is prioritized.
