About Hazel

Welcome Hazel to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Hazel is a 6-year-old Shepherd/Plott Hound or Dutch Shepherd mix. She is 6 years old and weighs about 50 pounds. This girl is good with kids. She is around a 2-year-old little girl regularly. She likes car rides and loves being in the house and relaxing. She is a lower energy dog and she has some nice training under her belt. She has been around horses and has done fine. She is also fine with cats. She has been around a Chihuahua that runs and she does not have a prey drive for the small dog. She was living on an acreage and the family moved. She now is in a very very small yard and doesn't seem to like the new arrangement. She used to jump a 4 ft fence just to sit in the front yard. She never would run off. She just like to do her watching from the front yard. That was ok in the country but in the new City location that isn't ideal. She is a wonderful dog and will be an easy dog to bring into your family. She is beautiful and very loving. This amazing girl is looking for her forever home. She is currently in Texas at the CCPAL Rescue. She is spayed, heartworm negative, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states.
