About Skylar

I have had my husky Skylar for 10 years. She is well cared for and has been the most wonderful dog and it honestly breaks my heart to have to search for months for a place for her. Due to recently giving birth and my son having reactions to her fur, then also having to move internationally for my husbands job soon, we are unable to keep her and have been trying our best to find a proper place for her. We do not feel that it is fair to her to live with us currently even because she has to have her own space to keep from my son having skin reactions and we can not give her the attention and care we used to with all of these changes. We want to keep her but we wouldn't be doing her a justice. She is 10 years old. A black and white husky with one blue and one brown eye. She is spayed and house trained. She has lived with cats and other dogs before. She is good with kids of all ages. From infants to toddlers to teens. She is good with people in general of all ages. She has a good temperament and she is not a loud dog. She knows tricks such as Sit, paw, high five, and speak. She is very low maintenance and eats once in the morning and once at night. And will tell you or follow you if she really needs the bathroom and can't hold it if it isn't during her usual walking times. We give her sentinel every month. She also loves being an inside dog and sitting and laying down all day but loves her walks when you take her. She loves new people and has never shown signs of aggression. She has stayed with my parents, friends and extended stay boarding facilities various times before with no issues so transition should not be hard for her. Even the people at the doggy day cares and the extended stays always say how wonderful she is and how much they love her temperament. She is updated on her rabies until 2025. Please help us. Anyone would fall In love with her and everyone she has interacted with on walks, at family visits, at dog parks has loved her. It's hard not to. It truly is hard to let her go but we are trying everything we possibly can until we have to leave.
