Harper is a wonderful dog that we love so much. She weighs 75 pounds and we think she is about 3-4 years old. Unfortunately, she is skittish around kids and has been anxious around our 2.5 year old toddler. He tried to pet her while she was eating dinner and she growled at him. After this incident, we do not think she is a good fit for a home with young children. Otherwise, Harper is great with adults and teenagers. She loves being outside, going on walks/runs/hikes, going on car rides, and being next to you while you work on the computer or watch TV. She is well-mannered and house trained. She does not have separation anxiety and can be home alone for 8-10 hours. She does not go on furniture or chew things that are not hers. She does not bark unless someone is at the door. She is friendly with strangers. She knows the commands 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'go potty', and 'go to bed.' She does not have a bite history. She is leash reactive towards other dogs, but has played well with male dogs off leash. I think she would be best as either the only pet in the home or with a male dog after introductions to see if they get along. Please let me know if you think you would be a good fit for her! I would love to see her go to a good home.
