Meet Koa, he is a 8 month, 25lb, deaf blue heeler mix puppy. We rescued him from a puppy mill where he was covered in fleas and being sold out of a car trunk. He was born deaf, but that doesn't stop him from being an energetic, playful, loving little guy. His current pack consists of a wild toddler, two older dogs, and two sassy cats. Koa has learned how to play a mean game of tug-a-war with his older brother and is gentle enough to give the cats a saliva bath. He is house trained, crate trained, and knows some basic hand signals (he's deaf). He is good both on and off leash and loves to play chase with his older sister. Preferably, we would love to see him in a home with another dog to continue to teach him. Plus, he's a great follower so if one dog comes when called, he will follow. We are sad to see him go, but happy to know that his forever home is close and he will get the chance at life that he wouldn't have gotten before.
