Roxy has been a great companion for many years but her owner recently passed away from a heart attack while taking Roxy for a walk. She stayed by his side until help arrived. I have since fostered Roxy and she was anxious for the first couple of days but now greets me with enthusiasm when I return home. She needs a firm lead on walks and is very interested in other dogs on walks. It is unclear how she will react, we think more socialization is needed. She gets along with our small chihuahua and has played well with my daughter's dog. She is definitely has the Beagle personality. I am told she is a shepherd mix but not sure which. She is very loving and loves attention but once she has got the love she needs she is content to find a spot and doze off. She loves to play and chase the ball for a while but then is fine to just take it easy. Sadly, we need to find a home for her as I travel quite a bit and my wife is not able to handle two dogs and especially not a larger dog. She is recovering from leukemia and a hip replacement and a larger dog has the possibility of pulling her over which is not a good thing right now.
