About Nova

Adoption Fee: $150
Anatolian Shepherd
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

[Case opened on 3/11/24]. URGENT!!! THIS SWEET BABY NEEDS HIS FUREVER FAMILY ASAP!!! PARADISE, CALIFORNIA. 1.5 Y/O (10/18/22) MALE ANATOLIAN SHEPHERD. His name is 'NOVA'. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. Good with kids. Good with dogs. Unknown with cats. No Aggression. House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues. High Energy. High Prey Drive. Currently on Blue Buffalo Wilderness food. Weighs 110 lbs. Doesn't like car rides. Favorite Playtime and Toy: Nova loves bones and tug of war rope toys. He loves any and all toys. He loves hiking and loves to keep everyone together while hiking. He loves to keep the pack close together. He loves playing with other dogs and he loves playing in water. Nova is a very lovable and affectionate guy. He has great Recall and is very good Off- Leash. (New owners will of course need to Boundary Train/Recall Train before allowing any off leash). He loves to be active outdoors with family but also loves to chill and be mellow at home. He is very loyal to his owner. He loves all dogs, big or small. If another dog shows aggression towards him, Nova will back away and then come back later to try to give kisses. He never chews on anything except his toys and his bones. Current owner got Nova to be her Companion Animal per her therapist recommendation. Nova is such an amazing boy, but Current Owner is not able to handle his size and strength and cannot leash train him. Nova is very strong and about gives his owner whiplash if he gets excited. Current owner is not able to control Nova and it's affecting Current Owner's mental health because she lives with a Strict Leash Law. She lives in an apartment and is realizing that this is not what is best for either of them. Nova needs running room and is too big to be confined to apartment life. Current Owner wants him to thrive with someone who can control and handle his size and strength and work with him. Someone who can provide Nova with the room that he needs inside and out to thrive. He definitely needs a yard to run and play and burn off energy. He is a very loving and gentle pup, just very big and strong. ***Serious Inquiries, please message me for the Rehoming Form.
