About Hachiko

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Boise, ID Hachiko is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 33 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn't on heartworm prevention. Hachiko is good with cats and dogs! He hasn't been tested around children. No farm animals, due to his reactivity! He is given fluoxetine for his separation anxiety. Hachiko has bitten the owner once (level 2 bite on the Ian Dunbar scale) on his right forearm. He has also lunged and snapped at his owner and the owner's partner unprovoked numerous times. The owner is surrendering Hachiko because he has unpredictable moments of reactivity towards himself and the owner's partner. The owner is also worried that Hachiko will go after their chicken and indoor rabbit. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Hachiko, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Hachiko.
