Alyx was found as a stray in Bethany, Missouri. We know quite a bit about Alyx since he was microchipped. Alyx is 9 years and 8 months old. He weighs 62 pounds. Four years ago, he was adopted from a Missouri pound as an outside dog. His former owner told us he was great with other dogs, cuddles kittens, and loves kids. He didn't want to come get him from the pound because Alyx is afraid of fireworks and gunfire and runs when he gets scared. Alyx may have lived the last four years as an outside dog, but he knows exactly how to live in a house. He explored the yard at his foster home and was so happy when he got to come inside. Alyx does great with the other dogs in his home and doesn't want any trouble with another dog. He just wants to be part of the pack. Alyx knows couches are for napping, beds are for sleeping, and counters are for surfing. He doesn't like being in a kennel and is loose in his foster home when his foster parents are gone. Alyx loves people and follows his humans from room to room. He is playful with other dogs but also perfectly happy to cuddle up with his humans and watch TV. Alyx requires a physically fenced yard to run and play safely. He is house trained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Alyx will never have to live outside again. If you would like to meet Alyx, please complete the adoption application on our website: furfunrescue.org. Filling out the application doesn't obligate you to adopt, but does provide us more information. If you have any questions about Alyx you can email [email protected] or call 319-929-6657. Adoption fee $250.00 Indoor homes only. Adopters must be within a 2 hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA
