Courtesy Posting: LOS ANGELES, CA (SAN FERNANDO VALLEY) - GORGEOUS 37 lb YOUNG CHOW BOY 'THOR'- APPROX 1.5 YRS OLD- PEOPLE/KID FRIENDLY BOY- IN NEED OF A NEW FOREVER HOME, IDEALLY CHOW SAVVY and WITH NO OTHER DOGS- Owner cannot keep due to not getting along with other male chow in the home, please no negative comments as owner is asking for help. Please help us find a loving, responsible and forever home for this stunning and people friendly, young very small chow boy. Although initially shy, his current owner says 'Thor is friendly to people and kids. He is very good and gentle with kids 9/10 years old or older.' We have videos of Thor enjoying being pet and around children in the home, as well as walking on a leash with the other male chow in the home. While Thor got along initially with their other male chow in the home, over time, Thor became too dominant with the other male chow- and the difficult decision has been made to rehome him. It is therefore recommended Thor be rehomed to a chow savvy home with no other dogs if possible (definitely no other male dogs). Please note we do not know how he does with cats, or female dogs, although the breeder he came from said he got along with females siblings. If you have a female dog, a meet and greet would be essential. We are now looking for a responsible and loving forever home who understands the breed, and can continue with his training. The owner added Thor still pulls on a leash and would benefit from continued obedience training which he has gone to. While he can be walked with the other male dog in his home, he has also been reactive to other dogs at times being walked near him. We require a completed short questionnaire, and will also ask for a vet reference, pictures of your past chows or dogs, and a virtual or in person home inspection to move forward with an adoption.
