About Reggie

Reggie is 7 months old!. He's affectionate, but young and doesn't realize how big he is! He is learning to sit down for hugs and petting vs. jumping all over you. He loves to play fetch and will drop the toy and sit on command before you throw it again. He has a dog chew treat every night- it's his signal that the day is done and to start quiet time. Then he goes out to do his business and I put him in his crate with no problem. Sometimes he puts himself in the crate because he's tired! He will definitely benefit from a fenced backyard to run around in. He doesn't appear to be too stressed when I leave him in his crate while I'm working. He's always sleeping when I get home but does need to go out immediately. He's at my house because my ex husband passed away unexpectedly and Reggie was left homeless. As far as I know, he has never been around children but with my interaction with him I do not see aggression. I pet him while he's eating, put his toys up, etc. without him getting upset. He is young, and due to a permanent leg injury, I am unable to walk him and do not have a fenced backyard. In addition, my rental lease expressly forbids large dogs. I'm also older and work long hours so I'm clearly not the best fit for him as his owner. I'm confident he'll make a great pet for an active person and/or family. He's a funny young dog and I love him very much. It breaks my heart to think of him in a shelter and possibly being put to sleep. I listed him as not in immediate danger because I want to try to rehome him so he can have a happy, active, secure life with a new family.
