Crayola is in urgent need of rescue and is not currently adoptable from the shelter due to his significant behavioral challenges requiring rehabilitation. Throughout handling and restraint components, Crayola displayed arousal, attempting to hump the handler consistently. His discomfort around resources was evident as he guarded his bowl and chewy, exhibiting freezing behavior and snatching the items to prevent access. Additionally, Crayola's interactions with other dogs were tense and aggressive, showing stiffness, intensity, and snarling when meeting a dog. Furthermore, Crayola's leash-pulling and high arousal levels, expressed through constant humping, indicate a need for impulse control training. Overall, Crayola's behavioral profile presents a cluster of concerning behaviors, including dog aggression and resource guarding, making him unsuitable for adoption at this time. Due to the complexity of his needs, which exceed what can be safely addressed in the shelter environment, Crayola requires specialized rehabilitation and intervention in a rescue setting to address his behavioral issues effectively.
