About Coconut Kool-aid

Coconut is a pure bred Standard Poodle. Due to a pending divorce, neither spouse is able to keep her (Spouse A: long work hours and extended business travel / Spouse B: disabled - can only care for one service animal and self). Coconut is/was wholly loved and cared for. She was trained both verbally and through hand signals, to sit/wait/& take food from your hand only after given a head nod with the command word 'ok'. Coconut uses the dog door like a boss, and is fully potty trained. She is not partial to kennels. Coconut is sensitive, and goes into full snuggle/kiss mode especially when she knows you are upset. She is high energy, and needs lots of toys, play, and interaction. If she becomes bored, Coconut will sometimes bring large sticks into the house to entertain herself. At night she splits her time between sleeping in bed with her human on top of the and on the Although Coconut has an iron gut when eating food, she does have a sensitive tummy when it comes to car rides. It would be best not to feed her before traveling. She loves the water, so bath time is not difficult, and she loves splashing in a baby pool outside in warm weather. Speaking of water, Coconut drinks like a camel, but eats just a normal amount for her size and breed. Although pure bred, she is not AKC Registered, because only one parent is AKC. Coconut loves the snow and the great outdoors, no matter the temperature. She has an excellent sniffer, and would make a great service dog that requires a sensitive sense of smell. Coconut has all her shots but is not fixed. She is a joy to spend time with. Her happy attitude is infectious. She is best raised to be the only dog in the family. It's not because she is mean, it's because she strives to be the Alpha no matter which dog she's around. If she hears you in the house, she will bust through the dog door like the Kool-aid Man Commercials of old (ergo her middlename) to greet you. As she matures she will outgrow her extra over the top greetings. We are so heartbroken that neither of us can realistically keep her. She is going to turn into an excellent pet (and/or service dog if you train her for service). She deserves a full, loving, and happy life. If this sounds like the dog for you, please don't wait.
