About Josie

Josie has been in foster care since November where she is patiently waiting to find her forever family. Often passed up for puppies, consider adopting a young adult dog that will give you just as much snuggles and love as a puppy can! Josie is a 2 year old Terrier mix, weighing around 40lbs. Her favorite activity is to play with tennis balls or chew on her toys and run around the yard. When she's all tuckered out, snuggling up on the couch watching Netflix is how she likes to end her days. She loves treats and even ice cubes as a fun reward. This girl's perfect home is one where she is the only animal, as she's had a bad experience with dogs in the past and is best she is the solo dog for now (also no cats). She is dog selective and could possibly get along with a playmate if given a slow introduction period to be comfortable & know she is safe. She would do better with kids 5yrs and older because sometimes she gets excited & could knock them down, no aggressive behaviors. She had done well in a couple obedience training sessions & is starting formal obedience training 3/14. She has done well learning new commands in her foster home & has a very bright future with someone who will give her a chance to share her affection.
