About Fenrir (Fen)

Fenrir is the best lil guy. He came into our lives by accident, but he's been a truly rewarding addition. We have another older dog with behavioral issues, and because of that we want Fenrir to go live a normal life where he can get the attention he deserves. He loves training, is great on a leash, and is getting better at recall off-leash every day. Fen loves to cuddle up in your arm while you read, and look up at you smiling when he sees something cool on a walk. He'll eat anything, but is learning 'leave it' very well. He has not destroyed furniture, but as a puppy, he has occasionally surfed the counters for goodies. Did I mention Fen loves to cuddle? He may be 70lbs, but he can't go very long without making sure he's pressed up against his favorite humans. On the flip side, he can be very independent and will just go into another room to sleep or play if you're busy. Fen is clearly submissive by nature. He plays well with other dogs, and if he sees a fight he is more likely to run around them asking 'what's wrong??' then to get involved. He very rarely barks, and it is usually if other dogs are, or if something/someone is perceived as a serious threat. He doesn't care about fireworks or loud noises and will most likely keep chillin'. Fen is a chewer, and loves bully sticks and those hard rubber toys. He loves tearing apart stuffed animals. He's learned to self-motivate and go find a chew toy when he's bored. He likes to swim, and occasionally play catch. He's extremely food-motivated, which has helped in his training. Fen has learned a handful of tricks like sit, stay, lay down, and shake. He completed a 6-week beginner training course with flying colors and would probably enjoy more classes like this. We love Fen so much, and know he has a bright, happy future ahead of him. We just wish we had the means and bandwidth to give this to him.
