About Whiskey

Whiskey, lovingly referred to as 'Whiskey Marley' by some, is searching for a new forever home. While he is very loving and gets along well with his immediate family, he has extreme anxiety is protective of his owners and his domain to a fault. As I've heard one other owner say - he has taken his job too far. Over the past several months he has become increasingly more reactive on a leash and I am no longer able to walk him due to pulling away and going after a neighbor and their dog. No one was hurt and he has not bitten anyone. But I fear the 'what if'. As a result, I'm looking for a home that is experienced in working with anxiety and reactiveness/aggression. Once he knows and trust you, he's your best friend and is extremely loyal. He has been going to daycare here and thrives with the humans and dogs there, getting along with everyone. He enjoys being outside and going for walks, but only those walks where there is not the risk of running into other unknown humans or dogs. I've always thought he would thrive living in a farm-like setting away from new sights and sounds. He about 4 �%BD years old, up to date on all of his shots and completely house broken. He is good with other dogs, once he knows them. But would not suggest him around small children. I love this guy, I'm heartbroken, and wish I could keep him, but unfortunately, I can no longer keep up with helping him with his anxiety. I'm willing to travel almost anywhere if we can find him the right home. Please message me with any questions.
