About Blake

Adoption Fee: $100
German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

I have answered unknown to a lot of the questions as I have not spent enough time with the dog to answer these for sure, however I will rundown what I do know. I believe him to be 1-2 years in age and to have a lot of German Shepherd in him, unsure what else he may be mixed with. He has lived for several months with 2 other male dogs and gets along fine with them and also has done well with the other dogs where he is currently at. He has been fine with all of the people I know he has been exposed to (have not seen him with children). On my first day meeting him he came right with me on the leash and got in the car and rode well to the vet. He done well with the vet despite my husband and myself being strangers to him. He is currently being cared for by an elderly lady who simply cannot handle him as she has his brother as well and another dog and has to keep them in a small kennel that is not fit for larger dogs. He needs a fenced area and room to run. I do know he has been previously kept inside the house but I cannot speak to his behaviors in the house. He was a stray who was took in by someone for a few months then that person left to go to a rehab facility so that landed him where he is now. I believe with a stable environment, a fence to run and some attention he would be a great dog. When he was at the vet he weight 65 pounds but I suspect this will go up as he gets regular feedings. He currently does not have any shots but as time passes we may take him in as we are able to try to get started on these things. I do know when I did take him they tested him for parvo and that was negative and he seemed healthy to them aside from some stomach upset (likely from getting fed after being hungry for days and having worms) and this has cleared up and he was treated for the worms. The adoption fee is to myself however, once adopted and you take the dog in for his veterinarian services and to be neutered I will pay that fee back directly to the clinic you choose to have the dog seen at.
