About Hippo

Please meet adoptable Hippo! Hippo was found as a stray and was picked up by the shelter towards the beginning of January. He's been with us for a few weeks now with no luck in finding his previous owner, so he's now available for adoption or to a reputable 501c3 rescue group! Hippo is a very handsome and sweet boy. He enjoyed having his pictures taken by our volunteer so much that we may just have to turn him into our spokesperson! Hippo craves all the attention he can get, but is pretty polite about it. He's also pretty treat motivated and could probably be trained to do just about anything if there's a treat involved. Though polite, it doesn't appear that Hippo has ever had any formal training, but he would likely thrive off of it given his drive to be a good boy. He's a wiggly guy who stays excited 24/7, and will definitely make your bad days a little brighter. Hippo is dog friendly and kid friendly! ? Hippo is around two years old and weighs 45 pounds. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease in shelter.
