About Skooter

Looking to rehome Skooter. I am his owner. I took Skooter in over 5 years ago when his previous owner was unhoused. I am a quadriplegic from a car accident in 2017. He has been my shadow. He has been very well loved. My life is currently changing and it is causing issues with Skooter. Skooter has lived with me all this time in a 900 sq ft apartment. His only freedom is inside the apartment. When I take him out, he is ALWAYS tied to my wheelchair, therefore never getting to run and explore. He is unsocialized because of this. However, anyone and everyone that has come over, he is very good with each. Due to my life changing and going back to school, Skooter has started having separation anxiety. Skooter has never been left alone so this has been very difficult for him. I am trying to continue on with college and then finally get back into the workforce. This is unfair to Skooter and I feel that someone else out there could give him what he needs for these remaining years of his life. Skooter was just at vet last week where he was such a good boy. He is healthy. The vet even mentioned how sweet of a dog he is. I explained to his vet that I was looking to rehome him and the vet said that he would be the perfect candidate for adoption. Please consider being the home for Skooter.
