Roo came in as a stray and was never reclaimed by her previous owners. Based upon her incredibly loving nature, we know she belonged to someone at some point. We would love to find her a forever home with a family that cares about her. ? Roo got her name after shelter staff discovered she likes to stand on her back legs like a kangaroo to grab your attention. She isn't rude about it, just likes to stand up sometimes, which we think is pretty funny! This may have been something she was trained to do as we noticed she does it more when the treats come out. Roo is very well mannered and appears to have lived in a house at some point in time. She loves spending time with people, and has pretty low energy levels which we know most potential adopters will appreciate. She does great with other dogs, including small puppies from what we've seen! Roo would be fine for a home with kids or elderly who may not be able to handle a more energetic pup. ? We estimate Roo to be about 5 years old and she weighs 36 pounds currently. She has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested positive for heartworm disease. Please don't let her heartworm status deter you, she still deserves a forever home!
