About Charles

Charles is an adorable 22 lb, 8 month old Corgi. This poor guy spent the beginning of his life in a puppy mill and was surrendered to us. He has the kindest gentle kisses for his humans and will now seek out pets and cuddles. He is still a bit timid with new people, so we think he would prefer a home without young children. With his thick and soft coat, bouncing Corgi walk, and wiggling little tail, you won't find a cuter boy! Charles absolutely ADORES the other dogs in his foster home. He is usually following one around, either romping and playing with them or cuddling on a dog bed, and his favorite pal is a 120 lb Great Pyrenees. Charles is adorable to watch as he comes to life with his canine friends, and he would be happiest in a home with at least one other playful canine companion. He loves every dog he meets and is great with dogs of all sizes. This cutie enjoys being outside and exploring the yard in his foster home so would also love a home with a yard. Charles is crate trained, good in the car, walks well on the leash, and is working on his house training and basic commands. He did not even know what treats were, so he needs a new home committed to continuing to show him how truly amazing the world can be. Charles has discovered toys in his foster home and loves taking them out of the toy box and to his bed to make a collection to play with. Tennis balls are a favorite! Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
