About HANK

German Shepherd mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

*** Hello! I'm Hank, Your New Best Buddy! *** I'm a young, dashing and sweet Shepherd mix boy. I'm around 1 year and 7 months old and weigh about 61 lbs. Affectionately nicknamed 'Hanky-Panky' by my volunteer friends for my mischievous ''smiles'', extroverted personality, and enthusiastic tail wags, I'm Love, Affection and Playfulness bundled into a cute, furry package. The first things you'll notice about me are my soft blond coat, those stunningly intelligent eyes, and my cute floppy ears that can't seem to decide which way they wanna go. LoL! My volunteer buddies tell me I'm also quite clever and am very eager to please. One of my favorite things to do is running around the yard fetching balls and playing with toys. But once I'm done with my exercise, I'm quite content to hang out in the volunteers' office and get loved and adored on by my hooman fans. I do tend to 'hold it'' in my kennel - so my volunteer friends think I may be house-trained, and I already know how to 'Sit', 'Stay' and 'Come' when asked to. I absolutely love to train with treats and am always up for learning new things if you are willing to teach me. And I'm very gentle while taking treats. While I've made a lot of progress when I see other dogs at the shelter, I can be selective when it comes to making doggo friends. So, if you have a fur baby at home, please bring them over for a meet-and-greet with me to see if I'd make a pawsome brother. With my many endearingly enthusiastic qualities, I'll make a wonderful and active companion (maybe a running partner...hint, hint) for the right hoomans, but I may not be a good fit for first time dog owners or families with young children. So, what do you think? Have I impressed you yet? If you're seeking a fun, active and affectionate furry friend to join you on your walks, cozy up with you on those lazy afternoons, and share in your life's adventures, I'm your boy! Don't wait too long to come see me! ** Hank would do best in a home without small children ** ## See attached video of Hank! ##
