Hi, I'm Duchess. I'm on a heartfelt journey to find my 'furever' home. I'm a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix. I am almost four years old, born on May 1, 2020. I weigh about 70 lbs. I was rescued from euthanasia by my foster parents. I am healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on my shots. I am house and crate trained and walk well on leash. I also know some basic commands. My foster parents aren't able to keep me because of health and medical issues. My favorite things are snuggling and belly and head rubs. I love to go for walks, run in my fenced yard, and chase my toys and sticks. I love to play in the snow, as well as sit outdoors on the deck or in the yard and protect my home and people. I do react to squirrels and like to chase them out of my yard. However, I am not a livestock guardian dog. I can be shy, but I warm up quickly once I get to know you. I am a sweet, smart, happy girl and a loyal companion to my people. I would prefer a quiet home and to be the only dog. I've not had any experience with cats. I need someone who is knowledgeable about resource guarding and how to work with me on it. I am an inside dog. I was severely neglected in my prior life, but in spite of my rough start, I promise that I'm a good dog ready to become your forever friend. If you're searching for a loyal companion, please consider opening your heart and home to me. I come with a crate, bed, food dishes, blankets, and toys. Asking a small rehoming fee.
