About Prince

Prince is an absolute gentleman after 3 years of diligent training using positive reinforcement techniques. He came from rocky beginnings as a rescue but with the help of professionals and tons of training, he is a well mannered pup with his humans here at home. Prince loves the people he has bonded with, and with proper introduction gets along with nearly everyone he meets. He does have some anxiety around strangers and those less understanding of healthy boundaries. Because of this it is important to me that Prince finds a home that is experienced in working with anxiety and stranger danger issues. Prince needs a home where he can be the only four legged family member, and would do best in a home without small children. A secure fenced yard would be a priority for him, as he loves to spend time outside. Speaking of outside, he is an all-weather guy and LOVES the snow! Prince likes to play but does not demand that you play too, he is content with doing his own thing most of the time. His favorite time of day are walks, which he is in the habit of taking shortly after meal times. In my time with him he has enjoyed camping, hiking, and exploring. Finding a new family that enjoys these things too would be great, but it's not required. Prince is 4.5 years old, completely house broken, has no medical concerns and has been an all around healthy dog. He is up to date on all shots and I would happily provide vet records and contact info for his vet. I'm willing to drive to the ends of the earth to find the perfect forever family for this boy, but will prefer if his new family live within 200 miles of Lansing, MI.
