Wildlife Rescue would not take this bird as there are no populating coturnix quail in SC. This bird has 4 female baby chicken chicks it has adopted- the chicks are 8 days old-Blue Sapphire Pulet chickens. These lay green eggs. I got the chicks to keep the quail company while I search for a home. The quail immediately adopted the chicks and they like to be under the quail. Help! I do not want birds!! This quail just appeared in my yard and couldn't fly out. So I crated it before Wednesday night's storm to keep it safe.
