About Zaida & 5 puppies

It breaks my heart to tell all of you that she had 5 puppies at the shelter today. I am sure you all know how very dangerous and stressful this is for Zaida and for her puppies. On 2/20, the shelter found no microchip and gave Zaida a body condition score (BCS) of 4, with 5 being ideal. They noted a swollen vulva and decided she was in heat. On 2/29, Zaida gave birth to her five puppies. Zaida is a super-sweet (and beautiful!) girl. She is nursing the puppies in the shelter's medical room. This family group needs rescue!
