We have had hobbes since he was a kitten. The last few years he has been marking and going outside of his box. On our couch, corners of the room on the carpet. He's been to the vet several times, multiple litter box types have been tried, gave him his own space, added toys, multiple cat towers. It seems to correct itself for a while and then come back. This has put a lot of stress on us trying to remedy the situation and pouring money into finding solutions. He may do well in a space with few animals. This is the last thing we want to do but the financial stress of replacing flooring and furniture is too much.
