About Lyla

Lyla is the perfect mix of zoomies in the back yard and complete couch potato ready to snuggle in for Netflix and chill anytime. Her low energy personality makes her the perfect companion for a nice nap on and off through out the day but she is always willing to get up for pets, a game of fetch in the yard, or a new toy or bone in her life. While her human family is busy Lyla can be found upside down on her bed sleeping with a big goofy grin on her face and all her toys laying out around her because what is more fun than emptying the toy bin every time the humans pick them up right? Lyla is an adorable cuddle bug who thinks she has been placed on this earth to be every person and dog's best friend. She absolutely loves having a family and just knows that every person loves her as much as she loves them. She really loves having a dog sibling although she would also be happy to be an only dog and get all the pets and treats to herself as well. FYI - Lyla hasn't had an opportunity to meet little dogs, yet. Lyla would love to have a stay at home or work from home family option although with her low energy lifestyle this is not a must. If not staying at home, Lyla would LOVE to go with you; she is super big fan of car rides and seeing the world passing her bye. She is fully house and crate trained and even rings the bell to go out if she has one on the door. She is still working on her manners when her family comes home or friends come over and is learning that sitting for pets works much better than jumping up. She is treat motivated, redirectable easily, and calms down for pets within a couple minutes. She is also still learning what a leash is all about and how to walk like a lady as she views walking as an opportunity to pull her human along, chase squirrels, and try to go see every dog walking by. While working with her foster mom she is slowly getting the hang of walks and absolutely loves to go walking but will need to keep working on this skill. Lyla is treat and food motivated and loves to learn and make her people happy. She shares her toys and food with her sister without any issues as well. Lyla would love a fenced yard but it isn't a requirement. For this reason (and because she is pretty quite and overall pretty chill) an apartment, condo or townhome would be ok for sweet Lyla. She can get a good zoomie on once or twice a day around the yard and it's super cute to watch her zip around. With her still playful and energy level older kids would likely be the best fit; we wouldn't want her accidently knocking down a little one with her love and affection! (DOB 11/8/2022) As part of Lyla's $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
