About Bentley

BENTLEY is a 3 year old, 9.9 pound Maltese that was owner surrendered. LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: A fenced yard. It's amazing how far he has come in such a short time! He now plays with his foster mom and does zoomies in the yard with other dogs. Bentley has become quite the love muffin! He absolutely loves belly rubs, head rubs, scratches and being with his person. He greets his humans at the door happily and he is very good at letting his foster mom groom him. Bentley sleeps on the big bed, usually on his foster mom's chest. Bentley does bark when people come to his foster home, but he settles quickly. His adopter needs to be patient with him initially. It takes a bit for him to warm up to some people. Bentley is good with other dogs and would be happy in a home with another small dog friend. We have not had him around cats or kids, but think he would be okay with older kids who are familiar with small dogs. Bentley is mostly pee pad trained with only an occasional accident. He loves car rides. He does not know how to walk on a leash and a fence is a must because of that and because he loves to run and play. As far as Bentley is concerned, if someone is in the kitchen it's snack-time and he's all about that! He has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, has had a dental, is heartworm negative, had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Bentley is ready to find a family to call his own who will patiently love him through the transition to a new home! *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted.
