About Sullivan

Sullivan has had a hard life with very little if any love. He was with a family from the time he was a year old until now- he is 13 yrs old. He had never been to a vet until he was surrendered to Isle of Wight Animal control. Sully is heart worm positive and has some disc issues which cause him to move a little slower. He was surrendered because the husband said that it was cheaper to dump him than to divorce his wife who doesn't like dogs and told the ACOs that she got irritated with him because it took him too long to go outside. He spent most of his time in the garage/basement. Sully is going through the slow kill method which is usually not the best but our vet said that his heart looks good on x-rays and his heart and lungs were good. Rainbow can't take him but won't give up looking for a comfy place for him for however long he has left. A very dedicated volunteer spent the last few months sending out emails to rescues all over the country and nobody has room for this poor little man. He doesn't like to be around other dogs and just wants a comfy bed to curl up on. He takes treats nicely and just wants to know what love is. He is depressed and really needs a loving place.
