3/1/24 Uncle is a senior boy (bonded with Auntie so these two would need to be adopted together) estimated to be around 10-11 years old with a few years of life left in in. He was left for a 'newer model' like so many are when they get to a certain age. This guy really just needs a home with a warm bed and some love for the rest of his days. He should not have to be living in the streets or even in rescue right now poor guy. He was someone's pet at one time as he appears to have had some training in his life, kennel trained and probably house trained but we are a shelter environment at the rescue so he's not in a home at this time. Uncle would even benefit from a foster home right now! He's good with other dogs with his mellow temperament and the people who care for him. He would be ok with respectful children that doesn't poke his eyes or pull his tail. We have not seen him around cats since he's been with us. Auntie is part of a bonded pair with Uncle. She's 10+ years old and is 56 pounds. She's very sweet, mellow and loving girl. The adoption fee of $400 is for both of them, they do need to be adopted together. They do well with others in their play group and the people who care for them but we have not seen them with young kids or cats. They still have a decent amount of energy when they want to play or get some exercise but definitely know how to relax and nap for most of the day as well! **This dog is currently at the rescue in TX however you can secure this pup for yourself with a pre-adoption which means getting your app in, approved and then paying the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $400 (both) which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, HW testing, chipping, health certificate and transport fees. All our dogs come with a 30 day, money back, trial period to make sure they are the right fit in your environment but if it doesn't work you will have to foster until the dog gets rehomed. Tall Tails Rescue has a commitment to these dogs for their lifetime and we hope you do too!
