About Shadow

Shadow had a rough start. He was hurled like a pile of potatoes around a 9ft wooden fence and fell to the other side on cement ground. While a bit bruised, and scared, he landed in the backyard of a family who is caring for him, but they cannot keep him, so we stepped in. Shadow is 4-ish months old. Three days ago he lost his first baby tooth. He is current on vaccinations as of Feb. 28, 2024, when we took him in for Bordetella and DHPP as well as his microchip. He is a friendly boy, a happy boy, but an untrusting boy. You need to earn his love and prove to him that you're a kind soul, before he voluntarily comes near you. But once he warms up to you, there is no way out of his heart. Shadow needs a home that is patient and ready to potty train. He needs a home where people will understand that it takes pups (of any age) up to three months to decompress from the trauma of abuse, abandonment and rehoming. He especially needs a home filled with love and commitment; folks who understand the responsibility that having a dog entails, both in life and financially.
