About Mars

Please TEXT listed number instead of calling! Adoption fee is ONLY to be sure you are serious, I cannot promise Mars is an easy dog. He is very loving but only good in small groups and he may need a lot of your patience. He is my favorite little guy in the world and has never bitten anyone but he does growl and makes it clear who he does not like- I've marked aggression for the POSSIBILITY of it in a new home. He is 28 pounds, perfect for a small house, and loves to cuddle under the blankets at night. Currently he eats Purina Beneful twice a day, but any kibble works and he is not picky about wet food. He's happy to go for a run with you, but equally happy to spend a quiet day napping in the living room. He rarely barks but he WHINES when he is stressed. Mars spent some time taking Prozac and will likely need to be medicated again. Please only respond if you are serious about the prospect of a dog that will need some work to trust you. He knows many basic commands and some of his toys by name. He is a very smart boy when he listens. DOES NOT like off-leash dogs. After being attacked by some neighborhood dogs they make him nervous even if not near him. He walks well on a leash. Rabies vax will be up to date for 2 more years. Bordatella will need an update within the next few months.
